THE fight against criminal activity has been given a helping paw — thanks to a specially-trained sniffer dog.
The crime-fighting canine has been helping the police’s Operation Caminada, which has made several arrests in recent days.
And on Friday, police swooped on bars, pubs and clubs in Failsworth and Uppermill, making another two arrests.
In total, 25 people were searched after the dog indicated they could be carrying drugs.
Anybody with information about crime in the area is asked to contact police on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
