ANGRY: Andrew Tindall by the boarded-up window
POLICE are urging witnesses to come forward after yobs put the lives of two young girls in danger.
The attack on a Chadderton bungalow took place in the early hours of Sunday morning, when thugs threw heavy pieces of metal through the front windows.
They also attacked the windscreen of a car parked outside.
Andrew Tindall (59), was woken by the sound of shattering glass. He feared for the dafety of his partner, eight-year-old daughter and five-year-old granddaughter, asleep in the bedroom at the front of the house.
“My partner was asleep in there with the girls and I dread to think what could have happened.”
He said: “Luckily they threw the metal through the other front window, but they weren’t to know there wasn’t someone in there too.”
The attackers used car suspension parts in the attack. The attack, at around 1.40am caused hundreds of pounds of worth of damage.
The attackers are thought to have made off in a waiting vehicle; they were caught by a neighbour’s CCTV camera.
Anyone with information should phone police on 101 or the independent charity, Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
