Drug crop dumped

Hundreds of cannabis plants worth £15,000 were dumped in Moston Road, Chadderton, yesterday.

Chadderton police were tipped off by a member of the public who spotted the plants at around 9.30am.

The 340 plants — still in their pots — almost filled the police car that took them away. Inquiries are continuing.
