Driver claims ‘big cat’ sighting

THERE have been new claimed sightings of a large black cat roaming the Saddleworth countryside.
A lorry driver on the M62 said he spotted a 3ft tall, 7ft long, black panther-type cat stalking sheep in a field near the Saddleworth junction last Tuesday evening.
He said: “I slowed to around 25mph because I couldn’t believe my eyes. My hair stood on end. I reported it to the police right away, and when I looked on the internet I found a lot of sightings in this area. dating back to 2003.
“I have seen big game cats in the wild in Africa and I know this was a large game, black panther type cat. I feel very lucky to have seen this unreal sight and wonder if anybody else has seen it.”
