Cashback on defunct Latics lotto
Date published: 27 July 2012
POLICE are keen to reunite people with money they paid into a now defunct Oldham Athletic lottery account.
The Big Blue Lotto ceased in March, 2011, but cash was paid in until June, 2012. The balance is around £5,000.
The account has been frozen so no more money can be paid in. Organisers now want funds returned.
Detective Constable Andrew Day, from Oldham CID, said: “The organisers of the lottery want to make a full repayment but all we have are sort codes and bank accounts, limiting the amount of people we can successfully contact.”
Anyone who believes they are owed cash should call police on 0161-856 8951.
