IN training: Chris puts in the miles.
CHRIS Guest will be undertaking the challenge of a lifetime when he treks more than 400 miles for charity in memory of his elder brother.
Chris, now 26, was 18 when his 22-year-old brother Eddie died of cystic fibrosis.
Now Chris, from Greenfield, is determined to cycle, run and canoe more than 400 miles from Inverness to Saddleworth, to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
The challenge will begin in the Scottish city on Monday. Over the following six days, climbing instructor, Chris, will canoe the entire 63-mile length of the Caledonian Canal, cycle 300 miles between Fort William and the Yorkshire Dales and run the last part of the journey to Saddleworth.
“I’m definitely nervous,” he admitted. “I know a lot of people have sponsored me and are counting on me. But I’m quite excited too. I want to do Eddie proud.
