Michael Ganley — long-distance hole in one
MICHAEL Ganley just loves his new golf club — it has helped him achieve a life-long ambition on a swing and a prayer!
Only days after buying his appropriately named TaylorMade driver, Michael (48) produced his first hole-in-one at Oldham Golf Club. His amazing drive at the downhill par-four 17th hole sailed in... from 389 yards!
“We spent a few minutes searching until the penny dropped and we checked the hole,” said Michael, who has played the course for 13 years.
“I fell away in the competition but it felt great to get my first hole-in-one. I am still getting used to the new club. Obviously everything came together that time.
“Afterwards I had to honour club tradition by buying everyone a drink — there’s something wrong with that, surely it should be the other way round!
