GRIM discovery: where the body was found
THE body of a 77-year-old man has been recovered in the Huddersfield Canal at Dobcross.
Police were called to the Brownhill Countryside Centre at 12.10pm yesterday after a dog walker made the grim discovery.
A police underwater team removed the body and the leafy scene was cordoned off. but the death is not believed to have been suspicious.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on their non-emergency number “101”.
