Patience urged on Foxdenton future
Date published: 14 August 2012
COUNCIL chiefs are searching for outside funding to secure the future of one of the borough’s historic buildings, Foxdenton Hall.
The council closed the hall temporarily last autumn on safety grounds. Councillor Dave Hibbert said: “This process is going to take some time so I would ask people to bear with us. The hall will remain unavailable to the public in the meantime, but we are trying to bring about the necessary improvements as soon as possible.”
The two-storey Georgian mansion and former manor house dates back to the 15th Century and was rebuilt firstly in 1620 then in 1700.
