CAMPING pods . . . part of the redevelopment.
TOURISTS get an eyeful of fabulous scenery at Denshaw’s upgraded Moorlands Caravan and Camping Park.
Work has finished on a £250,000 project to enlarge and improve the business, which now boasts two unusual wooden camping pods overlooking Dowry Reservoir, 40 hard-standing pitches with electric hook up and a dedicated area for camping with a full facilities block.
Native trees, including oak and birch, have also been planted around the site.
Ian Mansfield, landscape architect at Groundwork Oldham and Rochdale, said: “A lovely, high quality, camping environment has been created here.”
Steve Ashurst, from Moorlands, said: “We are very excited as we feel we have created a high quality product in a most beautiful setting.”
