Giddy Mel’s tweet heart

MOSSLEY’S Melanie Sykes told fans she was “giddy” after announcing her engagement to boyfriend Jack Cockings.

The 42-year-old TV model and presenter, who first found fame in an advert for Boddingtons beer, met Cockings (26) online where he tweets as @bespokespartan after he asked her out on a date.

The dark-haired beauty, whose parents live in Diggle, told fans: “To my beautiful twitter friends just want to let you know that me &Jack @bespokespartan are engaged to be married and we are very giddy xxxx”

Sykes has two children from her marriage to Italian actor Daniel Caltagirone which ended in 2009.

The former model has also appeared on “The Big Breakfast” and “Today With Des and Mel” and had a stint on Radio 2 with Alan Carr.
