Winnie moved into hospice
Date published: 16 August 2012

Winnie Johnson.
THE elderly cancer-stricken mother of a Moors murder victim has been moved into a hospice after falling critically ill.
Winnie Johnson (78) always maintained her last wish was to find out where her son Keith Bennett is buried.
Keith was 12 when he was murdered by Ian Brady and Myra Hindley in 1964.
Almost 50 years on, Brady still refuses to say where he buried the youngster’s body.
Mrs Johnson’s solicitor, Oldham lawyer, John Ainley, said: “Winnie is not in the best of health. There’s only one question she wants answered and that’s where her son Keith is, so she can have a proper family burial during her lifetime.
“This is a very sensitive time for Winnie and her family.”
