Hundreds hit by phone fault

HUNDREDS of Springhead residents have spent five days in a communications wilderness after workmen cut through a BT cable.
A spokeswoman for BT said: “A contractor has cut through or damaged our cable, affecting service to approximately 350 customers in the Springhead area.
“At this point we can’t give a completion date because it will depend greatly on the scale of the damage.”
