JUNK: some of the rubbish removed from Piertro Storrto’s home
A HOLLINS man is facing a big clean-up bill after failing to clear his eyesore garden.
Piertro Storrto was prosecuted by Oldham magistrates in April, 2011, after his Withins Road garden was labelled a health hazard, llittered with scrap metal, broken furniture, window frames and even an old car.
Oldham Council moved in yesterday to forcibly clean the premises following Storrto’s failure to do so. The householder will be forced to foot the bill
Neighbours, who say they have tolerated the mess for several years, said they’re so relieved something has finally been done.
In April, Storrto was found guilty in his absence of failing to clean up the mess and £525 with £625 costs.
