Street’s 2am blaze drama

RESIDENTS on a Hathershaw street were evacuated from their homes after a fire ripped through the upstairs and roof of a mid-terraced property in the early hours of this morning.
Nine homes were evacuated for two hours as three crews from Hollins and Oldham dealt with the blaze in Belgrave Road at 2.05am.
The fire, believed to have been caused by an electrical fault, is under investigation. The affected home had no occupants and no residents were injured.
