Whitebank revamp for Oldham RL
Date published: 22 August 2012
OLDHAM Rugby League Club is about to submit plans for a new stand at the Whitebank Stadium.
Proposals feature a structure on the same side as the existing main stand, as well as various other ground improvements.
Terracing down the Whitebank Road side and at the southern end of the ground, additional turnstiles, toilets and a catering facility are all in the pipeline.
Roughyeds chairman Chris Hamilton said: “I am aware of the frustrations people have had in waiting for news of this ground development.
“A huge amount of work has been going on behind the scenes.”
Oldham Council’s planning committee will hear the proposals at a meeting scheduled for October.
