Latics stand plan goes to planning

THE fate of Latics’ proposed £5 million stand could be decided by Oldham Planning Committee next month.
North-West architect The Frank Whittle Partnership (FWP) has designed the 2,300-seat stand, which includes offices, a gym, shops and conference and banqueting facilities.
There will also be a supporters’ bar, function room and 11 executive boxes.
Consultations have already taken place with councillors and residents over the plans which mark the start of the redevelopment and regeneration of Oldham Athletic’s historic ground. The three-storey stand will replace the ground’s demolished North Stand, which left Boundary Park open on one side.
FWP’s plan also includes new car-parks.
