GCSE RESULTS: HATHERSHAW College pupils celebrated a clutch of top grades this morning.
Those leading the way included included head girl Olivia Flint (16) from Hathershaw with 2A*s, 3As, 8Bs and 5Cs.
She is going to Oldham Sixth-Form College to study English literature, sociology, psychology and drama and said: “I worked really hard for my exams but I didn’t expect to do this well — I am really, really happy.”
Head boy Juyel Ahmed (16) from Coppice is also off to the college to study biology, chemistry, maths and accountancy. He got 6A*s, 8As, 2Bs and a C, and said: “I put a lot of work in and had a lot of support from my teachers. I thought I had done well, but not this well.
Hannah Lowe (16) from Fitton Hill in on the way to achieving her dream of studying medicine after chalking up 4A*s, 10As and 3Bs.
