GCSE results: FRIENDS of Kyle Winterbottom, who died after falling from a balcony earlier this month, signed a book of condolence after collecting their GCSE results.
The Hathershaw College pupil plunged 40ft from a block of flats on the Eldon Street Estate in the early hours of August 4 and died later that day at the Royal Oldham Hospital. He passed 13 GCSEs.
Close friends Michael Coleman and George Holland said: “It’s a really sad day because I know Kyle has done well but he’s not here to see his results.
“It is such a shame that we are celebrating and he has gone. Seeing pictures of him in the book of condolence brings it all back.”
