Bin there, done that!

Caroline’s one-woman clean-up mission
AN overgrown alley entangled with weeds and littered with glass has been restored by one kind-hearted neighbour.
Caroline Steeple, of St James’s Street, Shaw, did her bit for the community by digging deep to tidy up the alleyway all by herself — collecting 60 bin bags of rubbish in the process.
The 38 year old has been praised for her one-woman effort to brighten up the neighbourhood.
Caroline’s house backs on to the once jungle-like ginnel and she says she was “sick of waiting” for the council to rid the path of weeds and litter — so set about it herself.
She said: “It used to be really overgrown and full of nettles and glass.
“Over the last two weeks I’ve worked really hard to get it clean.
“The ground was all squelchy. I did it to make people on the street happy and it’s made a hell of a difference.”
Councillor Steven Bashforth said: “We’re working hard to get local people to support the Love Where you Live campaign and Mrs Steeple deserves to be congratulated for tidying up her neighbourhood..”
