DALE CREGAN — wanted
ARMED police swooped on a Failsworth laundry on Monday in the continuing hunt for murder suspects Dale Cregan and Anthony Wilkinson.
But officers armed with machine guns and bolt cutters and accompanied by police dogs made no arrests.
Police have now doubled the reward to £50,000 for anyone who can provide information about the two men, wanted following a fatal shooting.
The reward is the largest offered by Greater Manchester Police, as they continue to hunt for their prime suspects in gun-and-grenade attacks that killed Droylsden resident David Short, on August 10.
Officers are want details about a silver five-door Ford Fiesta, registration BJ52 XMX, abandoned in Lord Lane shortly after the killing. Four men, aged 19, 25, 28 and 37, arrested on suspicion of murder, have been bailed until October pending further inquiries.
A fifth, Jermaine Anton Ward (24), has been charged with murder.
Greater Manchester Assistant Chief Constable Steve Heywood said: “We are looking for 29-year-old Dale Cregan and 33-year-old Anthony Wilkinson. We are urging anyone who has seen either of these men to contact us immediately on 999.”
Anyone with information can also contact police on the non-emergency number, 101, or anonymously on 0800 555 111.
