TV debut: Elvis O’Connor with sister Alana, will appear in ITV drama “Mrs Biggs”
A GRASSCROFT tot will make his screen debut on Wednesday — at the age of 11 months.
Elvis O’Connor has been cast as the baby son of Great Train Robber Ronnie Biggs in “Mrs Biggs”, a five-part ITV1 series about the wife of the notorious Great Train Robbery thief.
This is Elvis’s first time on TV, and dad Andy can’t think of a better way for the toddler to start his career.
Andy said: “It’s so exciting that he’ll be in this show, I’m really proud of him. It’s going to be a huge drama that people are really looking forward to.”
The programme chronicles the relationship between Biggs and his former wife, Charmian Brent, from her point of view.
Elvis received superstar treatment over six weeks of filming in Manchester, accompanied by his mum Shelley.
And he’s following in the acting footsteps of some equally as talented family members — his aunt, Amy Gavin, has appeared in a number of films and popular soap “Hollyoaks”, while his older sister, Alana (5), is a regular on CBeebies programmes shot at Media City in Salford.
Catch “Mrs Biggs” on ITV1, Wednesday, at 9pm.
