OLDHAM Council faces a projected overspend of £1.86 million this year.
But Councillor Abdul Jabbar, Cabinet member for finance, said that this was normal for this point in the year.
Councillor Jabbar added: "I am confident that, with the co-operation of other Cabinet colleagues, executive directors and senior managers, we should be able to manage a balanced budget by the end of this year."
