MANCHESTER United legend Paul Scholes has paid tribute to Chadderton Park FC stalwart Steve Lynch who died on Friday aged 56.
The former England star played at the Chadderton Fold club last year, when he opened new changing rooms.
He kept fit for his sensational return to Old Trafford last season by playing for Chadderton Park Legends.
Scholes said: “I was saddened and shocked to hear the news of the passing of Steve Lynch.
“Steve was a highly valued member of the local community. I know first-hand about all the great work he did at Chadderton Park FC.
“He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. My thoughts are with his family and friends.”
