Rugby club and fans hold talks
Date published: 11 September 2012
Oldham Rugby Club chairman Chris Hamilton has had talks with representatives of Rugby Oldham and the Supporters’ Trust over ground developments at the Whitebank Stadium.
Rugby Oldham staff will report back to the next board meeting before resuming discussions.
“The club is happy to have opened a dialogue with Rugby Oldham’s representatives in the hope that everyone can pull together in the project to improve Whitebank,” said Mr Hamilton.
The Co-operative Championship One club aims to submit a planning application to Oldham Council planning committee’s October meeting.
Plans cover a new stand, with seats, on the same side as the existing main stand; terracing down the Whitebank Road side and at the bottom end of the ground; new turnstiles, toilets and a catering facility.
