Daredevil Ian flying high for charity
Date published: 14 September 2012
A THRILL-SEEKING pensioner is set to prove age is just a number - by launching himself off a 30ft-high tower for charity!
Despite prostate cancer, 70 year old Ian Hollingworth is preparing to hurtle through the air while strapped to a zip wire to pull in cash for the Red Cross.
The daredevil grandad-of-eight, from Dobcross, said: “I was intrigued by Boris Johnson recently getting stuck on a zip wire but have no intention of doing the same!
“I’m really looking forward to this event. I may as well do this while I’m still fit and young!”
The zip slide will launch from the tower at the Imperial War Museum North in Salford, on October 13 and 14.
