Auction show back in town
Date published: 14 September 2012
Perma-tanned TV presenter David Dickinson brings his “Real Deal” team to Oldham again next month.
The experts will be in town on October 6 to value local antiques.
Now in its ninth series, “Dickinson’s Real Deal” is the most popular daytime show on ITV, with over a million viewers.
Last time the show was in the area, an Oldham woman received £270 for a vase and a Shaw woman sold a bracelet at auction for £410.
“It’s great to bring the show back to Oldham,” Dickinson said. “I remember visiting the area before in a previous series and the quality of items brought in by members of the public was fantastic.”
The free event is at the Queen Elizabeth Hall. If you want an item valued, turn up on the day.
