Bridge plunge tragedy
Date published: 14 September 2012
A CORONER has ruled that a father-of-two took his own life in a Daisy Nook beauty spot while the balance of his mind was disturbed.
An inquest at Rochdale heard that David Kelly (47), of Openshaw, fell from a bridge at Daisy Nook Country Park on the morning of January 7 — a spot he used to visit as a child. He had struggled with anxiety and depression.
A man walking his dog found the body.
