Pair cleared over shooting attacks

TWO people bailed following a series of suspected air gun attacks in Royton have been released without charge.
The 27-year-old man and 21-year-old woman were arrested on July 30 and an air gun seized.
Nearly 30 attacks had been reported in July on windows, cars and bus shelters in Low Green, Trent Road, Fraser Street, Rochdale Road and Middleton Road.
Police now believe the weapon was a catapult.
The investigation is continuing. Information can be passed to Royton and Shaw police on 0161-856 4521.
