Adam’s prized possession was destroyed by the blaze
A BIKER watched his pride and joy burn before his eyes.
Arsonists are believed to have set fire to the motorbike in the back yard of a property on Ashton Road, Bardsley — leaving 26-year-old owner Adam Evans thousands of pounds out of pocket.
The Honda Fireblade 1000 was Adam’s ultimate motorbike — the only one he ever wanted to own.
“I had a poster of when I was younger and it was the one I said I was going to have,” he said.
“I worked hard for it — it’s won awards at local shows and now someone has done this.”
Police are urging any witnesses to come forward. The incident was on September 7 between 8.30am-3pm.
Adam, a driver, had left the bike at a friend’s home while he did some shopping, but noticed smoke billowing from the house.
He added: “We ran to the house and charged into the back garden to find the bike in flames.”
Call the police non-emergency number, 101, if you have any information.
