A TEENAGE boy who fell through the roof of a Failsworth factory is in an induced coma in hospital.
According to emergency services, the 13 year old had been messing around with some friends at the R Robertson factory in mersey Road North on Monday evening. It is believed he climbed on the factory roof and fell through when it gave way.
The as-yet-unnamed boy is now fighting for his life at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, with serious head and suspected spinal injuries.
“I heard the sirens and I saw them bringing someone out on a stretcher. I’ve got kids myself. You dread to think what might happen,” said a neighbour
The welding company was open as usual on Tuesday, with a jagged hole in one corner of the 20ft-high roof.
