Date published: 28 September 2012

FLY-tipping across West Oldham alone cost the council almost £100,000 last year.

Sean Madden, district environment manager, said the offence is a “particular issue” in the West Oldham ward, with more than 100 tickets being issued every month.

He said: “We are working to reduce this figure, but it will take some time.”
