School assault arrest
Date published: 28 September 2012
A schoolboy has been arrested and bailed after an assault at Failsworth School.
One boy suffered a wound to his thigh that required stitches, but police say it hasn’t yet been confirmed whether a knife was used. The arrested pupil has been bailed until October 16.
Head teacher John Meagher said: “This was a serious but isolated incident and certainly something we do not expect or accept from our students. The school will continue to have zero tolerance towards any serious assaults and take the sternest possible action.”
