Indian police join officers on local beat
Date published: 09 October 2012
AROUND 80 Indian police will visit Oldham today to learn from local officers.
Police chiefs mainly from Delhi and Mumbai will be in town as part of a wider week-long visit to Greater Manchester.
The officers have been invited by GMP to see the work of city police first-hand. Local officers are also looking forward to learning from their foreign counterparts.
The officers will be in Manchester until Friday, when they join police in West Yorkshire for another week of fact-finding.
