THE Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust has thanked the public for its generous donations to its registered charity.
The body, which runs the Royal Oldham Hospital and others in the area, operates a registered charity and fundraising arm, The Pennine Acute Hospitals Charity.
In the past financial year the charity received £931,000 — £419,000 by donation, £363,000 from legacies and £149,000 from investments.
The charity spent £716,000 on patient amenities, £98,000 on staff education and welfare, and £112,000 on research.
The majority of expenditure has been spent on medical equipment for a range of wards and departments across the trust’s hospitals.
