Youngster rewarded for his community spirit
A YOUNGSTER who strives to make Hollinwood a better place has been presented with an award for his “outstanding” contribution by a Paralympic gold medallist.
Dedicated Jordan Corbin-Forrest (12) who regularly takes part in community events, was honoured with the prestigious Outstanding Young Person Award by athlete Danny Crates at The Impact Awards.
Whether it’s setting out tables and chairs, putting up signs, or helping to clear away, nothing is too much for the youngster.
He even stayed behind in heavy rain after the Hollinwood Jubilee event to help pack everything.
Sarah Furbey, community development worker, nominated him. She said: “Jordan is a real credit to the area.”
