Record number of new business start-ups

OLDHAM’S economic confidence has been given a boost with a record number of new businesses starting in the borough.
In May 91 new companies were formed — more than any May on record for the borough — and between January and June 526 businesses were registered — a seven per cent rise on last year.
The news is set to further forge Oldham’s reputation as a hotbed of economic growth and regeneration.
