Talented cricketer dies at 21

TRIBUTES have been paid to talented cricketer Michael Garside, who has died suddenly aged 21.
Michael raised in Springhead, died at home in Harlow, Essex, on October 18.
The former Knowsley Junior and Saddleworth School pupil had played cricket since he was seven, first for Oldham Juniors then at Delph and Dobcross Cricket Club.
Michael worked his way up through the club’s junior system and went on to play for the team’s title-winning second team in 2010. He was also a keen badminton and golf player.
He moved away to spend time with his parents in Spain and finally returned to the UK, settling in Essex and playing for his local club side.
Michael’s parents said they would remember him as the “life and soul of the party”. he also leaves a sister, Vicki. His funeral will be at Hollinwood Crematorium from 3pm on Friday.
