FESTIVE fun: Santa making his way through Oldham town centre at last year’s Reindeer Parade
THE festive season officially begins in Oldham on Saturday when Santa and his reindeer fly into Oldham.
Father Christmas will drop into the town centre for a bigger-than-ever reindeer parade.
The event will also feature Christmas characters and the cast of the Oldham Coliseum’s pantomime, “Cinderella”, and marching bands.
Children can also bring their letters for Santa and see the reindeer up close when they stop outside the old town hall, before their journey back to the North Pole.
Starting at 12.45pm, the parade will travel along Clegg Street, High Street, Lord Street, Albion Street and Henshaw Street, before ending back on High Street.
