A MAN who died after being stabbed during an alleged row in a house in Sholver has been named as Pete Watt.
Emergency services were called to a property in Coleridge Road around 12.15am, yesterday morning discovering Mr Watt (48), believed to be an Oldham man, with chest injuries.
Three men, aged 57, 39, 32 and a 29-year-old woman still remain in police custody today after being arrested on suspicion of murder.
One local resident said: “People do come in and out of that house with drink and someone told me that an argument had taken place.”
Police contained the scene overnight with investigations still ongoing.
Det Supt Alex Millett, of GMP’s Major Incident Team, said: “It is understandable that people are concerned about what has happened, but I want to reassure the community that we have made a number of arrests and the investigation is progressing.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
