Staff face sack
Date published: 27 November 2012
ROCHDALE Council staff who failed to protect young girls from a sex ring could face the sack.
There are currently 12 workers being investigated, with one already suspended, after a review criticised staff deficiencies.
Any of those under investigation could be referred to the social workers regulatory body and struck off.
Action taken against those being reviewed could range from extra training to dismissal.
Nine men were convicted of running a sex ring in Rochdale in May.
