Have an ice day in wonderland
Date published: 07 December 2012
OLDHAM Christmas shoppers could be dancing on ice this weekend.
A synthetic ice rink will be installed in Oldham town centre on Saturday and Sunday as part of the Winter Wonderland Weekend - a free event featuring cool characters and brass bands.
Councillor Shoab Akhtar, cabinet member for business, skills and the town centre and chairman of the Town Centre Business Partnership, said: “After a year’s break the ice rink is back by popular demand.
“I’m sure families will enjoy taking time out from their Christmas shopping to get their skates on and have a bit of fun.”
The weekend runs 10am -5pm each day.
