Birthday girl dozen see a problem

Jessica Sweeney — all the 12s

SHE may be turning 12 on 12/12/12 tomorrow, but Jessica Sweeney prefers the number 13.

The Moorside schoolgirl is excited to be celebrating her 12th birthday on such a special date.

She said: “It feels strange and I think it’s quite rare to get all the 12s like this and it won’t happen again to anyone for years. But my lucky number is 13 - because Paul Sculthorpe used to wear that number when he was captain at St Helens — my favourite rugby team.”

Jessica, a pupil at St Damian’s RC Science College in Tameside, will mark her birthday with a trip to Manchester’s Christmas markets.
