Juniors shine in festive concert

SANTA took time out from his busy schedule to conduct the wind band

HUNDREDS of people got into the festive spirit as they were entertained by talented young members of Oldham Music Centre.

The Civic Centre hosted a junior Christmas concert featuring children from the music centre’s training, elementary and junior groups.

“This is the first time we have tried this out and we were rewarded with an audience of nearly 500 people,” said John Whitmore of Oldham Music Service.

“The idea of the event was to give the younger ones and their families their own Christmas celebration.”
