The crash scene at Milnrow Road, Shaw
MILNROW Road in Shaw was closed in both directions for over two hours yesterday after a Ford Focus overturned.
The male driver escaped uninjured after leaving the road on the bridge over the newly-laid Metrolink tracks, before going through a fence and down an embankment at 1.10pm.
Firefighters used cutting equipment to free the motorist, who was then taken to hospital to be checked over.
The car was then taken away on a tow truck. No other vehicles were involved.
