TWO of the cars damaged in the attacks
A 27-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested following a series of arson attacks on New Year’s Day.
Eight cars were set alight in Royton and Shaw between 2am and 7am on January 1.
The vehicles were parked in Firswood Drive, Royton, and Hawthorn Crescent, Queen Street and King Albert Street, in Shaw.
Det Insp Darren Meeks, of Oldham CID, said the attacks had caused significant damage.
