Council hasn’t bin here, or done that

DISGUSTED residents in parts of Oldham haven’t had their bins emptied for up to a month.
Rotting Christmas leftovers and overflowing bins have been common in areas that normally have rubbish collected on Tuesdays.
Oldham Council announced an extra food and garden waste collection for December 29 — but many Oldham Road, Springhead homeowners didn’t receive any Christmas collection.
One resident of Oldham Road said she has been told it will be January 15 before her next collection.
She complained: “There are bins on all the streets around me, it’s a joke. They’re telling us it’s so that they don’t have to make cuts elsewhere, but that seems like blackmail. We have to provide the plastic bags ourselves, why can’t they do their part?”
