Diesel thief hid in bushes
Date published: 15 January 2013
Serial diesel thief Lee Ullah was caught hiding in bushes by police after he stole fuel from lorries, Oldham magistrates heard.
The court heard that 38-year-old Ullah — who had 97 similar offences on his record — took £55 worth of diesel with accomplice Mariusz Jurga (32), both of Manchester Street, Oldham — to sell.
Both were given a two-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay £160 each in compensation and costs.
Ullah has also been ordered to serve an ASBO, and cannot now carry tools or be involved in any attempt to steal fuel from cars
