CONTROVERSIAL proposals for a business park and homes on a large sweep of land in Chadderton could be submitted to council planners by May.
Foxdenton LLP (Limited Liability Partnership) envisages a plan will then be ready for the redevelopment of 110 acres at Foxdenton.
Exhibitions are being planned for late February, to give the local community the chance to have its say.
Details of the events will be published in the Chronicle and leaflets, to be distributed in the immediate vicinity of the development — which covers an area roughly bounded by Foxdenton Lane, Broadway, Radclyffe Athletics Centre and Firwood Park and includes three farms. It is also next to Newman College and Radclyffe and Kingfisher schools.
The land’s potential fate sparked a 250-strong army of protesters into action earlier this month, concerned about the loss of the green space and wildlife, flooding, traffic, road safety and the future of a riding school.
