Stab victim’s funeral

THE funeral of a man found stabbed to death in Sholver last November will finally take place on Wednesday.

Peter John Watt was found dead with chest wounds at a house in Coleridge Road shortly after midnight.

Peter’s funeral takes place at St Patrick’s Church in Oldham at 10am, followed by interment at Greenacres Cemetery.

Bernadette Watt (24), of Vincent Avenue, Sholver, and John Connolly (39), of Wells Road, Sholver, have been charged with murder. Two men, aged 32 and 35, have been bailed until Thursday pending further inquiries.
